When we hear the parable of the sower and seed, it can be easy to assume it is meant for someone else. After all, we are good soil, right?

Sometimes we are tempted to think that it would be so much easier to believe in Jesus if we were living when he was on earth. Maybe ... but maybe not. Today’s Gospel tells us that it has never been easy to understand all of Jesus’s teachings, even for those who heard him in person.

Thanks to our faithful and generous parishioners, we have now reached our fundraising goal necessary to put the new flooring in the church! This is a very laborintensive project and will require that we allow the workers full access to the church for the duration of this project. Therefore, all Masses and other church-related events will be moved to the Parish Hall for the estimated time period to complete the flooring, which will be from Monday, July 31st through Friday, August 25th. There will be no Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on First Friday, August 4th; nor Anointing or Benediction that evening. We are working with our various Ministries to accommodate as many requests for the Hall as possible, and we appreciate your flexibility during this time. We will keep you updated on the progress and will announce applicable information as it becomes available to us.
